IMA/ZLW & IfU
“In the research project TemRas we further develop the use of telemedicine in emergencies with the help of relevant industrial partners and users. It is our goal to develop a technology which meets the actual needs of the EMS personnel in emergency services.”
Christian Büscher, IMA at RWTH Aachen University
The cluster IMA/ZLW & IfU coordinates the research project TemRas. The Institute of Information Management in Mechanical Engineering (IMA) at RWTH Aachen University is part of the faculty for mechanical engineering. The main research of the institute is the integration of IT solutions in the application domain of mechanical engineering, especially in production engineering, as well as transportation and mobility, and finally e-Health. Because of its interdisciplinary structure, the institute IMA researches particularly the holistic development of intelligent and IT supported processes. In addition to the technological realization of network-based solutions, social and economic processes are considered as well.
In the project TemRas, the Institute exploits previous experiences with the coordination of significant joint project, e.g. the EU research project TelliBox. System integration and the design of human-machine interfaces are the fields in which the IMA works essentially. Based on the experiences gained in the previous project Med-on-@ix, the IMA researches the execution of a supporting risk management for the development of medical networks. Furthermore, the user friendly implementation of the technology as well as the development of training concepts, are performed by the IMA as important contributions to the success of the project.
